Well, I did say there was no imminent threat of frost. I’ve posted this as a reminder in years to come that spring weather patterns can be so very unpredictable – especially in the mid-atlantic region. And since when does March come in like a lamb and out like a lion? The good news is that this is only one night, and truly seasonal temperatures are predicted for the next couple of weeks. Maybe my lettuce will have a chance to grow in favorable enough conditions so as not to turn bitter before first harvest.
The cold frame will earn its keep tonight!
