Woo-wee! That was one heck of a 1st day! I haven’t been this tired in a long, long time.
But it was totally worth it. Like the folks, like my office (with a real window that actually opens), like the board members…like it all!
The only downside is that I have to drop the choral society for the fall. I got home too late for practice tonight and risk doing the same for all future board meeting days. More notably, I’m not going to be able to swing the concert because it conflicts with the foundation’s holiday tour. I suspected this would be the case, so it’s not a shock. Fortunately, there’s always next season.
That’s as much as a post as I can muster. It’s 7pm and I’m ready to go to bed. After my daily hit of Dr. Who.
Great news. Congrats. To help you sleep…”soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur…”
Clearly you’ve never met my kitties….
Congrats!
Thanks! It’s been a very long time since I’ve had a job I actually like. I never realized when I was younger how important the less tangible aspects of a job can be. Environment, personality, community-mindedness. All good stuff!
